My Account is your personalised area to save full documents, specific images, and searches from across Adam Matthew products, allowing you to create easily accessible, bespoke lists for research and teaching.

Accessing and registering for My Account is easy. Click on the person-shaped icon [highlights 'My Account' icon] found at the top of any page. If you do not already have an account, you will be asked to register [clicks 'My Account' and 'Register', which loads a registration form]. Registration is free and easy.

Complete the registration form and submit [fills out fields and clicks 'Submit', which creates a 'User registered' pop up box]. After registration is complete, you will receive a verification email. Click on the verification link to complete the registration [highlights email and clicks registration link]. A second email will confirm registration success and supply a link directly to the My Account login [shows log in page]. Enter your email and temporary password to access My Account [enters log in details and selects 'Login']. Once registered, you can change your password and access this at any time by clicking the person-shaped icon [highlights 'My Account' icon].

Use the options in the navigation bar at the top of My Account [highlights navigation bar in header] to access the different areas: My Bookmarks [highlights 'My Bookmarks'], My Saved Searches [highlights 'My Saved Searches'] and My Profile [highlights 'My Profile'].

By default, My Account will open on ‘My Bookmarks’. Bookmarking images and documents [navigates to document list] allows you to save what interests you for easy analysis, comparison, or collaborative research.

You can bookmark any full document at any time [highlights 'Bookmark' icon] by clicking the bookmark icon beside each document in the list view, or by opening the document [clicks a document title and highlights and selects 'Bookmark document'] and clicking the ‘Bookmark document’ button below the image viewer. The bookmark icon will change colour, indicating that the full document has been added to My Account. This is also confirmed by a green message at the top of your screen [highlights message].

You can also bookmark a single image from within a document. Open the image you wish to save and scroll down to the buttons just beneath the image viewer. Click the ‘Bookmark image’ button to save [selects 'Bookmark image']. If My Account is open is another window, make sure you refresh your page [navigates to 'My Account']– you will not be able to see any new saved items until you do so.

[Navigates to example document] You can remove items from My Account by clicking the ‘Bookmark document’ or ‘Bookmark image’ button a second time [selects 'Bookmark document']. The bookmark icon colour disappears, indicating the document has been removed from My Account. You can also remove an item from within My Account [selects 'My Account'] by clicking the bookmark icon beside the document or image [selects 'Bookmark' icon again from within 'My Bookmarks' page].

‘My Bookmarks’ displays the title, thumbnail and product tag for each saved document or image. This displays in a thumbnail view by default, but you can change this to a list view [highlights 'list view' icon] by clicking on the icon. This shows you further metadata at-a-glance [scrolls down page].

Additional buttons at the top of the ‘My Bookmarks’ list provide further display options [highlights options] that can be applied when you have multiple documents or images saved. By default, [highlights view] you can view 30 items at a time, but you can change to view 60 or 90. Additionally, when you have multiple items saved, the ‘Sort By’ drop down [highlights 'Sort by' drop-down] allows you to sort the list by ‘most recently added’ rather than the default alphabetised order.

The sidebar filters in My Account [highlights filters] allow you to narrow down the documents you view at any one time by either ‘complete documents’ [highlights 'Complete documents'], ‘items from within documents’ [highlights 'Items from documents'] or by ‘product’ [highlights 'Source websites'].

The second area of My Account, ‘My Saved searches’ [navigates to 'My Saved Searches'] works in the same way. After you have run a search within a product [types in search bar in the masthead above an example document] you can save that search to My Account.

At the very top of your results list, click the ‘Save search’ button to save your criteria [highlights and selects 'Save search']. A green pop up will confirm that the search has been saved [highlights green notification]. Return to My Account and ‘My Saved Searches’. Your search criteria are now logged with a date stamp for reference [highlights date stamp indicating when the search was performed]. The same display options and product filters are available to use if you have saved multiple searches. Run the search again to see all results [selects a saved search example and runs search].

‘My Profile’ [navigates to 'My Profile'] is where you can manage your My Account credentials and read our Policy [highlights 'Privacy Policy']. Click the ‘save’ button to confirm any changes made here [highlights 'Save' button].

To logout of My Account, click the ‘Logout’ button [highlights 'Logout' button] in the top right of the screen.
